I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), the city where I was born and raised.  I have performed my postdoctoral training in public health, specifically in tobacco research and tobacco-related health disparities in two centers in the US, at the Tobacco Research and Intervention Program (TRIP) at Moffitt Cancer Center (Tampa, Florida) and at the Health Promotion Research Center (formerly OTRC), at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, at the Stephenson Cancer Center (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma).  I am currently enjoying the opportunity to participate as a researcher in the project Healthy lifespan inequality: Measurement, trends and determinants (HEALIN) led by Dr. Iñaki Permanyer supported by Grants ERC-2019-COG-864616. My current research interests focus on health inequalities with an emphasis on health inequalities and smoking.
