ORCID 0000-0003-4011-2077 'Ramón y Cajal' Research Fellow

Educational qualifications: Ph.D in Political and Social Sciences (Universitat Pompeu Fabra)
Research Theme/s:

I am a social demographer (PhD, Universitat Pompeu Fabra), currently appointed at the Centre for Demographic Studies in the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona as a Ramón y Cajal research fellow, and at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra as an adjunct lecturer. I am also a fellow of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course. I have substantive expertise in several fields of demographic research (e.g. families, spatial mobility) and social inequality research (e.g. homeownership, labour market outcomes, trade union membership). My research adopts life course and cross-national approaches, and uses state-of-the-art quantitative methods for the analysis of longitudinal data. I have been a sole chief investigator of a research grant funded by the German Research Council (2015-2017) to conduct a project on the interplay between gender, occupations and family migration. Recently, I have been awarded a Ramon y Cajal Fellowship by the Spanish Government (2017-2022) to conduct a research on the intersections between family trajectories and social inequality.
